Liverpool Cat Welfare rescues and takes in cats that are injured, neglected and feral. We react to emergency situations to rescue cats from abusive environments as well as take those that are unloved or have been involved in an accident.
Through your kind donations, we nurture them back to health, providing them with warm shelter, food and veterinary care at our Cat Sanctuary in Huyton.
Our aim is to find every cat a loving family and home where they can build a lifelong relationship and enjoy a happy, caring life while providing endless hours of fun to the adoptee family home.

Our Adoption Process
Like us, a lot of people fall in love with cats and kittens. But, owning and caring for a pet cat takes dedication and commitment. A Cat becomes part of your family and household so its important that you adopt the right cat for your home environment. As a responsible Cat Charity, we take adoption very seriously to ensure that all parties are happy and can forge a relationship that will last a lifetime. Unfortunately, on rare occasions, the relationship doesn’t work or environment isn’t suitable, which is why we check before allowing an adoption to commence.
Below briefly describes the adoption process that you will experience with Liverpool Cat Welfare.
Get in Touch
To start the process, simply get in touch or visit us at our Sanctuary. We will be more than happy to introduce you to some of the rescued cats and kittens and discuss the adoption process with you.
Home Visit
Ensuring the cats are given to a loving, caring home is of the utmost importance. As a responsible Cat Charity, we like to ensure that both you and your cat are compatible and the home environment is suitable.
Adoption
Once all the checks are complete and you’ve had time at the sanctuary with your cat, you can take them home and start your new lives together. We will check in now and then to ensure things are going well and we are always happy to help.
