Learn more about Liverpool Cat Welfare and the work we do.
We provide holistic care to feral, injured and neglected cats.
We do our utmost to provide cats with a stable, caring environment so that they can grow in confidence, learning to trust humans again.
We provide warm shelter and hearty meals to nurture them back to full health.
And most importantly, we provide them with expert verterinary care and support to ensure that they are fit, healthy and ready for rehoming.
As a non-profit making charity, we do all of this with your kind help and donations.
Who we are and What we do
Liverpool Cat Welfare is a non-profit making charity based in Huyton, Merseyside. Run by volunteers, we rescue, neuter and re-home many unwanted cars and kittens each year.
We DO NOT put a healthy cat to sleep, sick cats are nursed back to health where possible and neglected cats are loved so that they trust again.
We do not give up easily on any sick cat or kitten, putting all our efforts into trying to return a cat to good health. We only take the unfortunate and sad decision to put a cat to sleep on the advice of a Vet.
All of our efforts are funded by and rely upon your generous and kind donations and willingness to help the cats that we rescue. We do not receive any help or funding from the Government.
Dedicated Facilities
With your help and support, we have purpose built a tranquil cat sanctuary on the outskirts of Huyton with Roby. The sanctuary is currently providing shelter for our rescued cats but is not yet open to the general public. Our aim is, in the very near future, to have open days and coffee mornings at the Sanctuary to raise awareness, funding and, of course, find our lovely cats a new caring home. Our purpose built sanctuary gives all of our rescued cats:
Warm shelter
Stable diet
Loving care
Below are just a few of the images from our purpose built Cat Sanctuary that includes a tranquil memorial garden dedicated to Touch, a beautiful and gentle cat. It provides a serene environment for our animals and visitors to enjoy.
